Thank you so much for your support of our new Youth Theater Programs! Your response is overwhelming and for those of you who were turned away, we are so sorry. We cannot handle more than 85 students each Saturday at this time. We will be renting additional space next year so we can more than double our capacity. Please keep checking this site for information on the next session so you can make sure you secure a spot. Again, many thanks!

Youth Theater at Bucks County Playhouse Continues Enrollment, Payment Plan Announced

The Bucks County Playhouse continues enrollment for the new Fall Youth Theater School for children in grades 3 through 12. The Playhouse has announced that a payment plan is available for families that would like to have that option. For enrollment, please call Lunda Cornelius at 267-566-3983 or email, LundaCornelius@gmail.com. Ms. Cornelius will be available for on-site enrollment at the Bucks County Playhouse (70 South Main Street, New Hope, PA) on Saturday, September 4^th from 10:00am until 2:00pm.

The mission of the Youth Theater is to prepare young actors to perform in Childrens’ Musical Theater productions, as well as Mainstage productions like the recent Playhouse production of The King and I. Auditions for the upcoming Holiday shows for the Playhouse will be held first for those actors enrolled in the Youth Theater curriculum with general auditions being held to cast additional roles as needed.

Youth Theater classes will be held each Saturday beginning on September 11, 2010 and running for 10 weeks. Children in grades 3 through 5 will meet from 9am to 10am. Classes for grades 6 through 8 are 10am to Noon and grades 9 through 12 will meet from Noon to 2pm. Classes will include intensive dancing, acting and vocal production. A recital, which will be a full musical production, will be held at the completion of the curriculum.
